New to phone viewers? You’re welcome here.

You don’t need
a complicated setup.

A phone viewer is a simple holder with two lenses. Your iPhone provides the screen. You look through the lenses to see your memories in 3D.

Good to know

A few answers
before you start.

Ask us anything
Are spatial photos and videos the same as 3D?

Spatial photos and videos record two viewpoints, one for each eye. In a compatible viewer, that creates the feeling of depth. On a normal phone screen, you’ll usually see just a flat preview.

What will I need?

An iPhone, spatial photos or videos, and a phone viewer that fits your phone. Our current testing includes iPhone 15 Pro with Google Cardboard. We’ll publish the full supported-device and viewer details before launch.

Can I use my ordinary photos and videos?

This release is for spatial photos and videos. It doesn’t turn ordinary 2D recordings into 3D or play 360° videos.

Will it work without internet?

Yes. Download the memories you want to keep inside the app before you go offline. If an original is stored only in iCloud, you’ll need a connection to retrieve it first.

When can I get it?

Moments in 3D is in testing. Join the waitlist and we’ll email you when it’s available on the App Store. Launch timing and pricing will be announced when they’re confirmed.

Can I help test it?

Yes—check the beta option when you join. We’re starting with a small group, so an invitation isn’t guaranteed. Beta testing through Apple’s TestFlight is free and separate from the eventual paid app.
